The Attic will present a very special project at this year's Europalia music & arts festival in Belgium.
The project consists of an ensemble of several women from a village in the Apuseni mountains (Avram Iancu in Transylvania) who will play a concert with Belgium electronic music producer Milan W. Earlier this year. Milan W spent 10 days in the village, playing with the ladies from the ensemble, trying to decode, decompose and create new textural and sonic approaches.
The tulnic is a 2,5 m long woodwind instrument which was used centuries ago by the locals in the mountain as a communication tool.
