Hip-hop and funk producer, Ras G has been a strong influence for many artists and music lovers. His recent death, at the age of 39, left a huge gap in the world of music. With 24 albums and mixtapes released since his debut in 2008, he collaborated with artists such as Thundercat and Open Mike Eagle, and frequently appeared at the Low End Theory, the Los Angeles club night that helped to reintroduce funk, jazz and electronic music to the city’s hip-hop scene.
