It all began two summers ago, when Esma Ertel dancing and spinning records with Murat , said, “We have to share this experience, and this beautiful collection, with people.” Word spread fast, and the duo soon found themselves everywhere from Balkan festivals to the coves of Fethiye, from Zürich pop-up clubs to tours across southern Italy.
Whenever BaBa ZuLa’s schedule allows, they keep bringing their dance-driven, interactive DJ sets to life sound worlds stretching from rare vinyl to the theremin. With almost no digital footprint, they’ve kept the whole adventure alive purely by word of mouth. Now that journey arrives at Baba Festival.
