Born in the summer of 1990, in a family of artists, she grows up on movie sets and in theatre wings. Even though a child of an actor-choreographer couple, she studies journalism at the University of the Arts in London, prior to her work in the cinema field. A passionate of the written word, she writes for various publications in the UK, Italy and Romania. In 2015 she makes her first short film, an independent dance film, entitled “Tonight”, screened at various dance film festivals in the USA and Romania. She writes and directs her second short “The King’s Cup” (2017) about a young journalist investigating on a Romani football team, led by no other than the King of the Romani people.
She makes her third short film “Our Summer Break” (2023), in which she touches on the mother-daughter relationship, explored through a fiction story mixed with personal archival footage. The film wins Best Short Film at TIFF 2023 and is further selected in other international festivals.
She is currently developing her debut feature film.
In her work, she likes to play with blurring the fine line between fiction and reality.
