Skip” is the first collaboration between Romanian producer Silent Strike and singer-songwriter Lucia and it is permeated by Tricky’s dense vocal presence. The song reflects Eastern European moods such as latent anger, innocence and fragility.
The single is released on False Idols, the record label created and curated by forward-thinking music innovator British artist Tricky of Bristol fame.
Mark Stewart the host of Devils Jukebox is one of Tricky's mates and was one of his collaborators. Befriending Mark Stewart since he was in school it was with the push of The Pop Group's frontman that Tricky got to dive deeper into what would become known Bristol sound: The Wild Bunch collective, Smith & Mighty, Massive Attack and the Maxinequaye debut album. Now on Black Rhino Radio, based in Bucharest, we get to exclusively premiere an interview with the first Romanian singer-songwriter to collaborate with Tricky, Lucia.
