Idris Rahman is a London-based clarinetist, saxophonist, singer, bass player, composer and music producer, brother of pianist Zoe Rahman as well as the co-leader and producer of reggae/afrobeat band Soothsayers. He has co-written and co-produced their seven critically acclaimed albums and has played with the band at the most major UK festivals, toured widely throughout Europe and beyond. Born to a Bengali father and an Enligh-Irish mother, Rahman was inspired and influenced by Bengali folk, pop and film music which he incorporated into his music, not only Soothsayers but in a number of other jazz-centric project he's involved - including Wildflower and Ill Considered.
