Lyricist, MC, spoken word and recording artist RIDER SHAFIQUE is prolific and versatile at both live events and recording. With countless features across electronic music; Drum & Bass, Dub, Dubstep, Dancehall and Jazz, performing live at events and festivals worldwide.

Across recordings, though immediately recognisable as Rider Shafique, his style can vary massively. Lyrical eloquence full of consciousness and empowerment, he is always breaking new ground at the same time as never losing his roots. Presenting his thoughts in a rooted, lowkey style that resonates with the delivery and impetus of classic dub poetry from Linton Kwesi Johnson and Mutabaruka.

In addition to his musical projects, Rider Shafique is a round-the-clock artist and photographer. Creating and curating to educate and inspire for his project I-DENTITY, which celebrates diversity and culture by exploring identity through creativity. The project includes visual and performing arts as a rallying point and safe space for black creatives, as well as his own works, including workshops, photography exhibitions, documentaries, and a radio interview series.
