Episode 41 of FRI presented by Inertia Movement brings the heroes of the Bandcamp Friday, a way we change the world by supporting artists. Every positive change matters so music played today focuses on drone and polyrhythms, elegant variations in time and crisp crafted sounds.

The playlist plays sound-sculptures from the iranian Mo H. Zareei aka mHz, amazing Photay, NY based artist, drummer and DJ who released “An Offering” with Carlos Niño, music from The Bug from his latest “Machine”.

Some remarkable sounds from Giant Claw, Lawrence English and Alessandro Cortini. Greatest finding is Jeremiah Chiu’s “In Electric Time”. About his work Chiu says:

“The approach to the improvisations was to embrace the mixer setups at VSM (n.e. Vintage Synthesizer Museum) — where a section of synthesizers are all routed to a single mixer/patchbay — and to start at one end of the studio and work our way around the six different sections. [..]I love finding the moments where a melody or rhythm appears in an unexpected way — at times feeling more like archaeology than sculpture.“
