Orizont Sonor is a Franco-Romanian cooperation project that celebrates the radio environment in all its cultures and practices. Starting from the unique radio culture of France and Romania, Orizont Sonor brought together a community of creators and listeners, supporting the exchange of experience and ideas, as well as European initiatives in the field of radio and sound creation in Romania and around the Black Sea.
Claudia is a selector born and raised in Constanta, the city by the sea with a cool and dazzling cultural mix which influenced her way of listening and perceiving music.
I grew up with Tatars, Turks, Macedonians, Greeks, Armenians and Romanians neighbors and classmates, and fell in love their music and cooking.
Radio Vacanta had a whopping impact on my childhood. Blasting from the speakers on the beach, we would all listen to light news, announcements of lost and found children and Romanian pop music.
