Real BAE Shit

 I have this playlist made a while ago named covers/familiar/unfamiliar in which I add covers of songs that I like. I selected part of them for this mix, so of course all of the songs played are covers, with two of them having some extra lyrics added and one being covered in a feature with the original singer. It’s interesting to hear how the songs change in their new rendition, you can make maybe a parallel with how it feels to read a translated book, like the content is the same, but not quite, is it?

Same goes for the songs, each of them having that familiar feel of the original song, but also feeling quite unfamiliar. I don’t know if I wanted to tell a story here, but I tried to make them fit together both thematically and sonically. They change genres, genders and even their meaning completely.
