Black Rhino Residency • Saturday, December 28 • Control
Numa Crew [IT] & Killa P [UK], Riddim Bandits, Plus [+], Mc Yardie Flo
Amplified by Riddim Bandits Sound System
For the last residency of this year at Control, Black Rhino Radio returns to the sound system culture and invites Numa Crew (IT) and the mighty Mc Killa P (UK) to headline the night. The booking follows the fresh album of the two - Killing Time, released this year on November 15.
Numa Crew comes in a three-crew formula (Mc included), and they will play a three-hour set along with Killa P. During the extended performance, you will walk through the bass music genre and feel all of the influences and cultures this sound has to offer.
The lineup is closed by local bass music artists Riddim Bandits, plus [+] and all-time favourite MC - Yardie Flo.
As usual, the Riddim Bandits Sound System amplifies the sound for this type of night.
Numa Crew is a collective of djs, producers and two MCs, pioneers of the Italian Dubstep scene and one of the landmarks of the national underground music scene. Their musical research focuses on bass music, with influences that range from Dub & Reggae to Grime, UK Garage passing through Jungle and Drum’n’bass.
The collective, founded in 2005 in Florence, starts releasing several 12" vinyl for the label Elastica collaborating with artists such as Zion Train and Dub Sync. Later the crew creates Erba Records, a white label principally devoted to reggae-dubstep, D'n'B and Jungle sounds, which is flanked by two other discographic projects, Voodoo Rebel and Digital Smokerz, exploring all contaminations of global bass music.
Meanwhile, they release on many other national and international labels such as EMI Italy, Liondub International, Moonshine Records, Dub-Stuy Records, Chinese Man Records, collaborating and remixing many artists including Dub FX, Daddy Freddy, Horace Andy, General Levy & Bonnot, Zion Train, Taiwan MC, Chinese Man, DJ Vadim, Big Red, Radikal Guru and many more.
