With a long history in club music scene and electronic music, Sukh Knight is one of those Djs who understands the dancefloor. Local support is coming from Romanian DJ and producer Alienmade and Dj Agmantav. 

First event for our monthly sessions in club Expirat is bringing the versatile Bristol duo Kahn and Neek. With a diverse music selection their sets are always bringing the element of surprise. Each session is unique, so be sure not to miss their first appearance in Romania. 

Next guest for our monthly residence in club Expirat are the legendary Mungo's Hi Fi. With an arsenal of bass heavy dubs ranging from roots to steppas, dancehall to dub reggae, expect an education in the elements of a sound that has inspired a movement from world famous Glaswegian selectors Mungo’s Hi-Fi.

Our march session in Expirat Club is welcoming Radikal Guru. One of the brightest lights of the roots-influenced underground community, Poland born Mateusz Miller has pioneered a compelling and unique fusion of sounds that encompass dub, reggae and dubstep under his Radikal Guru moniker.

First release for 2019 at our Artist in Residence program is featuring a live recording with the band Cardinal. Formed in 2015 on the shores of the Black Sea in Constanta, Romania, their style has been compared to Queens of the Stone Age or Mars Red Sky.

We begin the 2019 monthly residence in Expirat club by inviting the french dub and bass music producer Von D. With three albums and multiple EPs under his belt, Von D is also recognised for featuring exclusive and unreleased dub or dubstep tunes, alongside his own music.

We had great time this year at Waha Festival. 6 hours of showcasing our music, 4 days in nature, lots of friends, good music at every stage and no internet connection. Well, but we are back into town now and we prepared this aftermovie to keep reminding us of this great time.

This year Black Rhino Music has been invited by Waha Festival to host a showcase at Alt Stage. We have selected three artists to represent our vision and the music we promote - Brusten, Dyl and Șerb.

The forth episode of our talk series with people involved in the music industry is focusing on the activity of Control Club. Our discussion with the co-owner and artistic director of the club, Florin Oslobanu, is gravitating around subjects such as club's artistic direction, its vision about dancefloor music and marketing strategies.

Fane and Adrian Tăbăcaru joined Black Rhino Music Artist in Residence programme and produced the drum and bass track Alter Shapes. This collaboration was shaped by the fast and organic drums of Adrian and the dark atmosphere created by Fane.

Our next club night is featuring V.I.V.E.K. with local support from Agmantav, Irie Warriors Sound System and WRK. Sound will be powered by the mighty Irie Warriors Sound System.

Our fourth conference is bringing under the spotlight the world of online radio stations. We are happy to have guests such us Orpheu de Jong, Co-Founder of Red Light Radio and Dave O'Donnell, Creative Director, former Managing Director of Worldwide Fm.

26th of April @ Expirat Club, Bucharest | The London-based producer started his own SYSTEM nights in London some years ago, which included his own custom-built soundsystem. V.I.V.E.K.’s SYSTEM nights soon turned into a record label that has been releasing some of the most forward thinking sounds in dubstep since its 2013 debut EP ‘Asteroids’.

15th of February // Expirat Club // We begin the new season with a joint event with our friends fromSamurai Music. . Head honcho Presha, will come along with Clarity and The Untouchables, two names representative for Samurai Music. Black Rhino Music will be represented by Low Freq and Fane. 

First 2018's episode of our Artist in Residence programme brings together Esqu, Brusten and Vapor. A joint venture between the hip hop sound of Esqu, the drum and bass influence of Brusten and the fast and sharp rhymes of Mc Vapor.

In a time when clubs are closing or are being shut down by different state policies we wanted to bring more focus upon the work of club owners and managers. For our third episode we have invited Raluca and Andrei Șoșa, owners of Expirat Club.

The fourth session of A.I.R. programme brings together Fine, It's Pink and The Ghost of 3.13. For this episode we have a collaboration between an indie band with influences in post-rock, trip hop, electronica and a producer that comes from a more techno and noise atmosphere.

For the second episode of our Black Rhino Talks we invited Cage, founder member of Sweet Damage Crew and co-owner of the graffiti Corner Shop. Our discussion follows the raise of one of the most productive graffiti crew in Romania - Sweet Damage Crew

Black Rhino Talks are an open and friendly space dedicated in sharing knowledge, ideas and opinions.  With these series we aim to bring more focus on people and projects, from within the creative industries, who managed to leave a blueprint in their field of work. For the first episode we have invited Tudor Chiliman, co-organiser of Waha Festival.

For the third conference we push forward our series of meetings with professionals from within the music industry  by inviting Xanthe Fuller, Mixcloud Head of community.

As a DJ and producer whose natural passion for music in all its forms eventually spilled over into a full blown production habit, Skeptical has been responsible for some of the most damaging yet delicate tracks within the current Drum & Bass genre.

The third episode of Black Rhino Music Residency brings together Dream Diggers (RO) and Șerb (RO). A joint venture between the industrial sound of Dream Diggers and techno oriented producer Șerb has produced the song ”Simulacru de confort”.

Our next residency in club Expirat welcomes Compa (UK) with local support from WRK and Vru Dubz. For this session the sound will be powered by Irie Warriors Sound System.

The second session of Black Rhino Artist in Residence programme brings together Environments and MGCH. With a deep sound coming from ambient and noise, both artists are affiliated to the 148label family.

This year Black Rhino Music was commissioned by TimeShift Music Festival to propose a two days lineup for one of the festival stages. Our work began by selecting and proposing artists to festival management and continued with responsibilities such as artist care, drivers and stage management.

Black Rhino has teamed up with Outlook Festival to launch the Black Rhino x Outlook Festival DJ Competition. Outlook Festival is one of the leading bass music festivals in Europe. With strong roots in sound system culture, the festival's selection of artists and sound systems is outstanding.

First session of Black Rhino Artist in Residence programme brings together Valerinne and Mytrip. While Valerinne’s music takes an organic approach to the post-rock genre, Mytrip comes and completes the journey with sounds gravitating around ambient and drone.

Black Rhino has teamed up with Studio 148 and Good Stuff for ”Black Rhino Residency” project. We invite in studio bands and producers to work together and create a musical track.
